Description:
The SEC’s public filing of comment letters related to S-K 1300 disclosures provides the mining industry with valuable insight into common compliance issues. Comment letters issued since the implementation of S-K 1300 were reviewed to identify recurring categories of non-compliance.  This presentation presents the review results, examines the underlying causes of non-compliance, and outlines the actions required to resolve the identified issues. The categories evaluated include exploration properties, mineral resource and mineral reserve estimates, mining studies, technical report summaries, marketing studies, economic analyses, Qualified Persons, reliance on the registrant, summary and material property disclosure, and internal controls disclosure.

Bio: Greg Gosson
Greg has over 40 years of experience in the mining industry in exploration, mine operations, and senior company management. He spent five years as Chief Mining Advisor at the British Columbia Securities Commission and led the project to revise NI 43-101 in 2005.
